The Concrete Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for concrete construction projects. This role analyses drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs, supporting successful bidding and project execution.
Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed concrete estimates.
Perform quantity takeoffs for concrete, reinforcement, formwork, embeds, and related materials.
Solicit and evaluate pricing from material suppliers and subcontractors.
Develop labor and equipment cost projections based on project scope and schedule.
Identify risks, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities.
Prepare complete bid proposals, including pricing breakdowns and clarifications.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams during bid and turnover phases.
Maintain historical cost data and update estimating databases.
Support change order pricing and post-bid negotiations as needed.
