Role Overview
We’re hiring a
Senior Concrete Estimator
to price
structural and commercial concrete scopes
from concept through hard bid. This is a true estimator role —
not sales, not business development, not high-level oversight .
What You’ll Be Estimating
You’ll own concrete scopes including:
Foundations and slab-on-grade
Elevated decks and podium slabs
Shear walls, columns, cores
Retaining walls and site concrete (where applicable)
Reinforced and post-tension concrete systems
Projects typically range from
mid-size to large concrete packages , including multifamily, mixed‑use, industrial, institutional, and specialty concrete work.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Perform full concrete quantity takeoffs (labor, material, equipment)
Develop accurate concrete budgets and bid pricing
Build estimates using unit pricing, production rates, and crew assumptions
Review structural drawings, specs, schedules, and logistics
Identify constructability issues, scope gaps, and risk
Solicit and evaluate concrete‑related supplier pricing (rebar, formwork, embeds, admixtures, etc.)
Price hard bids, negotiated work, and GMPs
Prepare clean estimate handoffs to operations once awarded
Work directly with PMs and superintendents to ensure pricing reflects real field execution
What We’re Looking For
4+ years
of experience estimating structural or commercial concrete
Strong background with cast‑in‑place concrete
Experience pricing concrete scopes in the
$5M–$50M+ range
Comfortable owning an estimate start to finish without hand‑holding
Proficient with:
Unit pricing and production rate calculations
Structural drawing interpretation
Supplier negotiation and cost management
Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level
