Office Assistant 3 (OA3) – Community Corrections Division Spokane, WA

Salary: $3,630.00 to $4,833.00 (DOC WFSE Monthly Salary Range)

Overview Office Assistant (OA3) position in Community Corrections Division to fill a full‑time, permanent vacancy within the Spokane Gang Unit at 1821 North Maple Street, Spokane, WA 99205. Under general supervision from the Community Corrections Supervisor, the role performs file management and routine, advanced clerical support tasks for the unit, including receiving calls, responding to support staff work request forms, and managing front desk reception. Work hours are Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

Provide general clerical support to the unit, Community Corrections Supervisor and Community Corrections Officers.

Manage multi‑line phone system.

Greet and direct clients, general public, and stakeholders to appropriate staff.

Database entry and retrieval from systems such as OMNI and OnBase.

Maintain and manage electronic and physical files.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Six months of clerical experience, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Skills and Abilities

Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Respect and maintain confidentiality.

Assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds.

Navigate internal databases.

Proofread written material and correct errors in sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation.

Communicate effectively and clearly to staff, incarcerated or supervised individuals, public, and stakeholders.
