Office Assistant 3 – Spokane Gang Unit
Location: Spokane, WA
Salary: $3,630.00 – $4,833.00 per month.
Job Summary: The Office Assistant (OA3) supports the Spokane Gang Unit within the Community Corrections Division. The role requires working under general supervision from the Community Corrections Supervisor, performing file management, clerical support, and front‑desk duties.
Responsibilities
File management and routine clerical support for the unit.
Respond to support staff work request forms or inquiries requiring knowledge of office/department policies and procedures.
Perform duties at the reception desk, including greeting and directing clients, the general public, and stakeholders.
Manage a multi‑line phone system.
Database entry and retrieval from OMNI, OnBase, and other systems.
Manage and maintain electronic and physical files.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
At least six months of clerical experience with basic proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desired Skills & Abilities
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Respect for confidentiality.
Ability to assist individuals with a variety of criminal backgrounds.
Proficiency in navigating internal databases.
Excellent proofreading and written communication skills.
Effective verbal communication with staff, incarcerated or supervised individuals, public, and stakeholders.
