Summary Supervises and coordinates the functions of the office for efficient patient flow. Provides support and guidance to staff. Assists in performing general office functions related to phone coverage, billing, registration, and provider schedules. Consults with the Practice Manager regarding methods for controlling operational costs and maintaining efficient office operations. Requires good judgment, excellent customer service skills, knowledge of physician billing, and diversified insurance plans. Assumes the responsibility of the Practice Managers role in the event of his/her absence.
Education and Experience
High school graduate or equivalent.
Preference of two years supervisory experience.
Basic understanding of general office procedures and general accounting principles.
Solid understanding of coding and third-party requirements is necessary.
Supervisory skills and maturity to supervise several employees.
Maturity to withstand pressure that may arise in relation to the public, physician or administration.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification N/A
