We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Material Specialist in our Pewaukee, Wisconsin location.
Job Description The Material Specialist is responsible for warehouse activities within a distribution center as well as at remote warehouses. This position offers a variety of work that will appeal to those that are interested in learning, problem solving, able to work within a team environment, and are willing to take initiative.
Pay & Benefits Starting pay is $27.17 per hour and offers regular increases per the bargaining agreement. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision Plan, 401K Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and many more. Hours: First shift 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
Responsibilities
Works with business units, contractors and suppliers to define and schedule resources to meet material and service requirements.
Orders, receives, and inventories materials using SAP, monitors storeroom levels, conducts physical reviews to investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory.
Unloads materials, inspects for damage, and enters data into computer for tracking.
Contacts suppliers and the sourcing group to resolve shipment and invoicing problems.
Uses equipment and hand tools to distribute materials to internal and external customers.
Handles and prepares materials for delivery at various locations in WE service territories.
Coordinates packaging of materials for delivery and site delivery as requested by business units.
Delivers materials to job sites or other service centers.
Operates forklift as required.
Qualifications
Minimum of three years of warehouse and powered industrial truck experience or one year of order picker experience.
Valid driver’s license required; must meet company driving requirements. Some units may require interstate commercial driver’s license (CDL Class B) within 90 days.
Testing requirements: Stores Aptitude (STRS) – understand mechanic concepts, visualize forms in space, compare details to identify similarities or differences.
