THERAPIST (MA/MSW)- Outpatient Psych LMFT/AMFT Monday thru Friday at Corona Rehabilitation located in Corona, Ca.
Reporting to the Program Manager this position provides psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups and individual therapy and family therapy to individuals who are seriously mentally ill. Groups focus on symptom management and medication management, which assists patients at functioning at their highest potential within their community and avoiding re-hospitalization.
The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 99-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Qualifications ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of Patient Rights
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
Specific education and/or experience working with geriatric and/or adult behavioral health patients
Minimum of 12 months clinical experience in the field of Mental Health required
MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Master's degree in Social Work, psychology, counseling or a related field required
Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire
REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Current LCSW, AMFT, MFT license required
Current BLS (CPR) Certificate from American Heart Associates required
Work Environment Exposure to solvents, chemicals, and cleaning solutions as applied to departmental MSDS sheet. Must use personal protective equipment/devices to avoid direct contact with blood and body fluids, sharps, chemicals, etc. as they apply to each department. Blood and Body Fluids.
