Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a position available for a Controller to support our finance department.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with the Finance Director to oversee the daily operations of accounting such as but not limited to staff accountants, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Assisting with annual business plan and leading annual budget Managing and maintaining accounting and banking relationships Leading financial audits Providing leadership/supervision to direct reports and prioritizing workloads Verifying journal entries, month end close, and FAR compliance procedures Reviewing monthly financial statement preparation, complete analysis, and provide financial support to management Coordinating local and state tax reporting and notices Administering accounting system operations Leading ongoing improvement and refinement and maintaining strong internal controls Conducting financial planning activities, preparing cash forecasts, and analyzing budgets Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations The successful candidate will have:
A bachelor's degree (or higher) in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university AND at least ten (10) years of relevant experience The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Accounting and banking relationships Annual budget and business plan Supervising and mentoring staff General ledger analysis, month end close outs, financial data analysis Software conversions and updates Corporate, state, local taxes and financial audits Accounting software (Deltek Vision, Dynamics) The ideal candidate will also be a certified public accountant.
