Job Title Associate Chemist 2

Job Description As an Associate Chemist 2, you will be responsible for providing analytical and technical support within new product development in a GMP environment.

Responsibilities

Perform analytical testing according to established or preliminary methods, including cleaning validation samples, dissolutions, assay, impurities/degradation products, content/blend uniformity, pH, viscosity, titrations, general USP testing, residual solvents, and other analytical methods.

Document with clear purposes, sequences, and conclusions per GMPs.

Prioritize assigned tasks and goals based on work group needs with supervision, effectively planning work and utilizing discretionary time to ensure timely completion of duties.

Review raw data timely and ensure it meets cGMPs and in-house SOPs, is scientifically sound, and can be readily followed by auditors.

Gather source documentation or summary data required for regulatory submissions or technical reviews.

Serve as instrument owner, performing required functions including reviews and audits of instrument calibrations, and routine maintenance and calibrations if needed.

Maintain personal and shared workspace in an organized manner, clean laboratory glassware, and actively participate in lab-wide routine cleanup and inspection activities.

Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts associated with laboratory operations.

Read, understand, and follow the current USP/NF, laboratory SOPs, analytical methods, and study protocols.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field.

3+ years of analytical chemistry industry experience.

1+ years of industry experience with HPLC, GC, Dissolution, or titrations.

6+ months of GMP experience.

Proactive mindset.

Strong writing skills, able to write new procedures clearly and concisely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

Knowledge of ICH guidelines.

Experience with solid oral dosage forms and UPLC.

Work Environment The position is 100% onsite, operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. You will work within a technical services department in a brand new expansion of the facility, supporting the growth of the analytical development group.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maple Grove, MN.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
