Job Title: HR Analyst III – Employee Relations Investigator
Location:
14905 Kirby Drive, Houston, TX 77047
Duration: 6-month contract (with potential extension or conversion)
Pay Rate: $22.62 – $37.70/hr (W2)

Position Summary The Employee Relations Investigator plays a key role in fostering a fair, inclusive, and high-trust workplace. This role is responsible for conducting impartial, thorough, and confidential investigations into employee relations matters while ensuring consistency, compliance, and integrity. The investigator partners closely with cross‑functional teams to promote accountability, mitigate risk, and support continuous improvement in employee relations processes.
Key Responsibilities Investigations & Case Management
Lead and manage internal investigations across multiple functions at the Houston site, including alleged violations of company policy, employment laws, ethical standards, and general employee relations concerns.
Conduct sensitive interviews with employees, witnesses, and leaders using sound investigative techniques.
Exercise strong judgment to balance fairness, legal compliance, employee experience, and business needs.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare clear, well‑structured investigation reports, summaries, talking points, and corrective action recommendations.
Accurately document findings, decisions, and recommendations in designated systems to support audit, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements.
Partner with Legal, Ethics & Compliance, IT, Quality, EHS, HR, and external counsel to ensure objective and comprehensive investigations.
Ensure investigations align with employment law, company policies, and internal compliance frameworks.
Perform root cause analyses for substantiated allegations and recommend corrective and preventive actions to reduce recurrence.
Support data collection and trend analysis to identify risks, patterns, and opportunities for improving employee relations programs and processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Prior employee relations or investigation experience, preferably within a multinational organization.
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR practices, and compliance standards.
Excellent verbal, written, and report‑writing communication skills.
Demonstrated experience conducting interviews related to sensitive or confidential matters.
High level of discretion, empathy, professionalism, and resilience.
Strong analytical and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of the organization.
