Controller Duties And Responsibilities
Utilize our online bill pay system to process accounts payable and expense reimbursements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Utilize our online accounting software to generate financial reports as needed and for annual tax preparation.
Generate advisor-specific activity and revenue development metrics for quarterly reporting.
Prepare performance and asset flow data for quarterly valuation purposes.
Effectively communicate financial metrics to the President, providing valuable insights for decision-making.
Manage the preparation and processing of payroll for personnel, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
Assist department managers with the hiring process, including posting jobs online, scheduling interviews, and generating offer letters.
Implement effective personnel onboarding and offboarding procedures, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires and departing employees.
Oversee benefits enrollment and management, ensuring employees have access to comprehensive benefits packages.
Ensure strict compliance with HR policies and procedures, promoting a fair and inclusive work environment.
Controller Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Possess an accounting designation or an equivalent combination of related experience and education.
Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in accounting and/or financial management, coupled with 5+ years of human resources experience.
Excellent interpersonal, listening, writing, and communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
Proven ability to work closely with senior management in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
