Position Summary
The Parts Inspector is responsible for inspecting plastic injection molded parts to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications. This role involves hands‑on inspection, identification of defects, accurate documentation, and close communication with production to maintain consistent product quality.
Shift Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm (hours may vary).
Essential Job Duties
Inspect plastic injection molded parts for visual, dimensional, and cosmetic defects
Check parts during startup, in-process, and final inspection
Use basic inspection tools such as calipers, gauges, go/no-go gauges, and visual aids
Compare parts to approved samples, prints, and work instructions
Identify, tag, and segregate nonconforming or suspect parts
Document inspection results accurately on inspection logs or quality forms
Communicate quality issues promptly to operators and supervisors
Follow quality procedures, safety rules, and housekeeping standards
Support containment activities and rework as needed
Maintain a clean and organized inspection area
May be required by management to perform other work-related tasks
Requirements
High school diploma or GED preferred
Previous manufacturing or inspection experience preferred (plastic injection molding a plus)
Ability to read basic prints or visual work instructions
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to 35–50 lbs, as required
