Position Overview The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, from onboarding to compliance and employee relations. This role requires a proactive individual who understands the unique demands of the security and executive protection industry and can ensure we recruit, develop, and retain top-tier talent while maintaining compliance with labor laws and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

Onboarding & Training:

Manage onboarding programs, including background checks, licensing, and initial training requirements. Assist finance team with employment paperwork gathering, review and filing. Coordinate ongoing professional development.

Compliance & Licensing:

Ensure all employees meet federal, state, and local security regulations, including background screening, certifications, and work permits.

Employee Relations:

Serve as the main point of contact for HR matters, addressing employee concerns professionally and confidentially.

Performance Management:

Implement performance review processes and support managers in addressing performance issues.

Policies & Procedures:

Develop and maintain company policies aligned with industry best practices, confidentiality requirements, and labor law compliance.

Payroll & Benefits Administration:

Partner with finance to manage HR matters for payroll (ensure all onboarding and payroll related paperwork is collected, reviewed and filed; handle employee's requests for employment records & employment verifications; review the notices issued by various departments for employees and work with the finance team to handle them ); manage benefits enrollment, updates and terminations; manage the employment termination process from start to finish.

Promote a positive, professional work environment that aligns with the company’s values of discretion, integrity, and excellence.

Recruitment & Staffing:

Not a must but would be great to have successful applicant lead end-to-end recruitment for security officers, estate protection staff, and executive protection specialists. Develop strong pipelines of qualified candidates.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

3+ years of HR management or generalist experience; experience in security, law enforcement, or high-end service industries is highly desirable but not a pre-requisite.

Strong knowledge of labor laws, licensing requirements, and compliance in the security sector or willing to learn.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar certification is a plus.
