Office Aide (Student Employee)

The hourly rate of pay for this student employment position is $15.00 per hour.
The Workforce, Business & Community Education (WBCE) division at Carroll Community College is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student worker to assist with administrative and program-related tasks. This position offers valuable hands‑on experience toward the development of communication, organizational, and time‑management skills in a professional setting while supporting the department’s operations. Additionally, the role offers opportunities to network with staff while maintaining a flexible schedule that accommodates academic commitments. Upon successful completion of this work assignment, the student worker will be provided a letter of recommendation to be used for future employers, internships, portfolio, or program admission, reflective of their performance. Furthermore, the student worker may request to learn specific office and/or management skills as part of their work experience with WBCE.
Responsibilities
Provide program support, including setup and material preparation.
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory organization.
Conduct basic research and compile information as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the department’s mission.
Job Requirements Required Skills And Qualifications
Must be a Federal Work Study student.
Must be a currently enrolled student at Carroll Community College.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and conducting internet searches.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
Prior customer service or office experience is a plus but not required.
Hours Needed Monday–Friday, flexible hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Complete and submit all federal, state, and college employment forms. The I–9 is submitted to your supervisor and the other forms are submitted to studentemployment@carrollcc.edu.
Create a work schedule with your supervisor that does not conflict with your class schedule.
When all forms are turned in you and your supervisor will be notified so a start date can be established.
