1st Shift General Assembly Operator/Trainer
Join Brunswick Corporation as a front‑line leader who trains operators, improves the department, and liaises with support teams.
Position Overview As part of the General Assembly Team, you will set up jobs, train operators, and support production cells.
Essential Functions
Train new hires, temporary, and cross‑training employees in proper manufacturing techniques as detailed in DWIs.
Understand and train employees on floor layout (5S).
Enforce safety rules and guidelines.
Record labor and explain production rates.
Work with Operators and Production Pickers to ensure cells are fully stocked with parts to complete production orders.
Perform set‑up functions in all product families, including 1st piece where required.
Assist Operators who have problems and call in outside help when needed.
Understand ISO requirements and the Quality Management System.
Communicate company metrics.
Required Qualifications
Meet qualifications for a General Assembly Operator.
Know and be proficient in all product families within the department.
Dependable with a good attendance record.
Good interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and lead others.
Working Conditions
Manufacturing environment (loud noises, concrete floors).
Stand or walk for 8‑hour shifts.
Move between cells.
Pick up 40 lbs occasionally.
Compensation $23.40/hr
(actual base pay varies with experience, skills, and location).
