The Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) is Michigan’s state‑funded, nationally recognized Pre‑K program for 4‑year‑olds. As a Lead GSRP Teacher, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning, assessing, and instructing children based on each child’s needs and the requirements of the GSRP grant.
Responsibilities
Plan and implement daily lessons using the approved GSRP curriculum.
Conduct child observations and assessments using approved tools.
Collaborate with the associate teacher and classroom team to ensure high‑quality instruction and classroom management.
Develop Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for each child and lead parent‑teacher conferences.
Ensure compliance with GSRP standards, licensing rules, and program quality expectations.
Participate in required professional development and coaching.
Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and community partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a valid teaching certificate with ZA/ZS endorsement.
Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans.
Ability to meet state requirements for education and our childcare center requirements.
Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.
