Position Summary Part-Time Middle School & High School Teacher – One-On-One Instruction

Who Are We? Augustine Hills School is Delaware’s only 1:1 private school located in Wilmington, DE 19803. Every student receives individualized attention in a one‑on‑one learning environment, enabling teachers the freedom and creativity to design lessons that meet each student’s unique needs, learning style, and interests.

Location Wilmington, DE 19803 – just off I‑95 and Route 202 at a convenient & quiet location.

Schedule Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM.

Schedule is flexible; Fridays are off.

Responsibilities Provide personalized, one‑on‑one instruction in middle school and high school core subjects of literature and math.

Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.

Bring math concepts into real‑life contexts to create an engaging learning experience.

Assess students’ progress, grade work, and maintain accurate documentation of lesson plans, progress, and grades.

Collaborate with other educators and administrators as needed.

Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.

Qualifications

A minimum of 3 years of teaching middle school and high school students in core subjects, including literature and math up to Algebra 1 (not including student teaching).

Bachelor’s degree.

Within a 30‑minute commute of ZIP code 19803.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level.

Previous experience developing a curriculum, assessing students, and grading their work.
