People First is proud to partner with Correct Means Tax Solutions, a growing and client-focused tax preparation firm, to identify an experienced Tax Preparer to join their team for the upcoming tax season and beyond. This is a 1099 contract, full-time, onsite role ideal for a dependable, seasoned preparer who thrives in a fast-paced tax office environment.
About the Role
Correct Means Tax Solutions is seeking an efficient, knowledgeable Tax Preparer who can manage client returns with accuracy, professionalism, and minimal supervision. This role is critical during peak tax season and offers the opportunity to build long-term relationships, gain year-round work potential, and earn performance-based bonuses. Key Responsibilities
Prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently Review financial documents, income statements, and deductions Utilize tax preparation software (e.g., My Tax Prep Office, TaxWise, or similar platforms) Provide excellent customer service and maintain client confidentiality Assist with basic bookkeeping and tax-related support as needed Required Qualifications
2–3 years of hands‑on tax preparation experience (5 years preferred) Strong working knowledge of tax forms, deductions, and filing processes Experience preparing individual and small business tax returns Proficiency with tax preparation software; ability to quickly adapt to new platforms Bookkeeping experience strongly preferred Highly dependable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills with a customer‑focused mindset Monday through Saturday availability required Mandatory Saturday work from February through mid‑March Full‑time hours during tax season Onsite role Compensation & Classification
$15 per hour – paid hourly 1099 Independent Contractor (not W-2) Bonus potential based on performance, quality of work, and commitment Why This Opportunity Stands Out
