Job Description Evaluates prescribed imaging and makes requested changes within 24 hours, accurately documenting treatment information in the patient electronic record and utilizing the record and verify system. Reviews all new starts for consistency prior to treatment, verifying patient positioning and field orientation, and checking the record and verify system for prescription, treatment parameters, doses, treatment accessories, and monitor units. Performs morning Quality Assurance (QA) on the treatment unit, assessing whether all equipment is operating according to physics policy and calling the appropriate person immediately after equipment malfunctions. Assists in maintaining department supplies and provides supervised education experiences for students that fulfill curriculum requirements of the academic institution. As required by facility, participates in after hours on call coverage, maintains competency with afterhours treatment coverage, performs 2D treatment calculations, and works with minimal direction and supervision. Verifies the physician’s prescription and treatment parameters daily to ensure accurate treatment of the patient in accordance with the prescription and treatment plan. Identifies the treatment volume and positions the patient in a consistent and reproducible manner. Assesses patients’ needs and actively seeks to resolve any potential problems or conflicts, consulting with the chief therapist/supervisor as necessary. Performs all aspects of CT Simulation, including administering contrast agents during simulation localization under the direction of a physician or non-physician practitioner.
Qualification Requirements High School Graduate or equivalent (Required), Technical/Vocational School (Required). Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) - RQI Resuscitation Quality Improvement. Certified Radiologic Technologist (R.T.-CERT) - EV Accredited Issuing Body, Registered Technologist - Radiography (R.T.(R)(ARRT)) - EV Accredited Issuing Body.
Pay Range $30.28 - $56.31
