Department & Location Heart Catheterization Lab – Trinity Health, Ann Arbor, MI
About the Department State‑of‑the‑art Heart Catheterization (Cath) and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab with five advanced labs, two dedicated EP labs, two Cath labs, and one versatile swing lab.
Hybrid OR capabilities for seamless integration of Cath and EP procedures focusing on TAVR, Watchman implantation, MVR, and device explants.
Case Volume
≈10–14 Cath cases daily: diagnostic and interventional procedures (coronary angiography, PCI, stent placement, IVUS, FFR, CTO, STEMI).
EP procedures: TAVR, Watchman, MVR, device explants.
Shift Availability Varied shifts; on‑call coverage off hours.
Required Education and Licensure
Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
BSN degree required or agreement to obtain BSN within five years from hire date.
Current Michigan RN license.
BLS certification.
Required Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and age‑specific needs.
Interpersonal skills to maintain collegial relationships and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
Critical thinking to perform principal duties.
Attention to detail and concentration while planning and performing professional nursing care.

What You Will Do
View patients holistically; consider physical, psychosocial, emotional, age‑specific, cultural, and spiritual factors; demonstrate appropriate assessment skills.
Gather and analyze patient information and respond to patient situations.
Implement individualized plan of care using evidence‑based interventions and standards of care; plan for continuity of care.
Educate patients and families; develop teaching plans; use teach‑back methodology; ensure discharge readiness.
Create a positive patient experience.
Communicate accurate, timely, concise documented information in the EMR and to colleagues.
Maintain good rapport and resolve conflicts constructively.
