Responsibilities
Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
Coordinate the collection, organization, and secure storage of patient medical records, ensuring timely retrieval for clinical and administrative use.
Oversee inventory control, ordering, and distribution of clinical supplies to meet daily operational needs of the SNF.
Collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to forecast supply requirements and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Conduct regular audits of medical records and supply inventory to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality assurance.
Train and support staff on proper documentation procedures and supply management protocols.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external audits related to medical records and supply management.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
Proven experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and medical records management in a healthcare setting. Point Click Care preferred.
Knowledge of clinical supply management processes and inventory control.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA and OSHA standards.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Valid Nurse Aide or Medication Aide certification in Texas.
Certification in Health Information Management (e.g., RHIT) or Supply Chain Management.
Experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care environment.
Proficiency with specific EHR - Point Click Care.
Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate cross-functional teams.
Additional training in healthcare compliance and quality assurance.
