Job Summary
WFS is looking for a Ramp Agent to assist with the loading, unloading, and handling of cargo, mail, express, and baggage items on aircraft. The role includes transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft, performing ground support tasks such as connecting ground power, and ensuring compliance with site security and safety procedures.
Responsibilities
Load and unload aircraft cargo weighing up to 70 lb, and position containers weighing up to 3,200 lb on rollers.
Drive and maneuver vehicles (3,000–80,000 lb) in congested airport areas, using depth perception and color identification (red, green, yellow).
Assist with push‑out and towing of aircraft, including communication with cockpit crew during push‑back operations.
Read and process off‑load sheets to determine cargo destinations.
Perform aircraft de‑icing up to 80 ft of height, spray glycol on exterior surfaces.
Carry out routine cleaning of work areas, ramps, and facilities; monitor and report security breaches or suspicious activity.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum age of 18 years.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid driver’s license.
Effective communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, and days off.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
Work in a high‑noise level environment.
Pull, push, and lift bags weighing up to 70 lb onto or from a conveyor belt.
