Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting Developmental Technicians specializing in General Facilities and Maintenance. This role plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our stores, equipment, and fixtures.
Minimum Qualifications
18 years or older
High School Diploma or equivalent
Can lift up to 50 lbs at a time
Can move up and down ladders frequently
Comfortable working at heights frequently
Ability to sit or stand for long periods
Able to work in various temperatures
Valid Driver's License (Commercial Driver's License optional)
1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, or material handling equipment OR 2 years of Walmart store experience
Key Responsibilities
Assist or perform primary responsibilities under direct supervision of an experienced technician
Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, food equipment) and hand or power tools
Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities
Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely
