Extension Educators Coordinator 3, 4-H - Guernsey County

The Extension Educators Coordinator 3 will work administratively under the Area Leader and programmatically with the 4-H Youth Development Educator. This position supports and partners with Extension professionals, volunteers, and members to conduct meaningful educational experiences for youth. The coordinator collaborates with Extension specialists and associates, as well as community members, to design and implement educational and informational programs statewide, furthering the Ohio State University Extension mission. Focus is on community needs in 4-H Youth Development.
Responsibilities
Assist the 4-H Educator with preparation for Junior Camp, including training camp counselors and attending camp as adult camp staff.
Coordinate county trainings such as Quality Assurance Training for youth and Volunteer Annual Updates/Training, and assist with youth and volunteer awards and recognition.
Support 4-H project evaluation events: hiring judges, judging paperwork, awards programs, state fair paperwork and assist at the County Fair.
Provide marketing through social media, website updates, and other university software applications for program management and communication.
Work cooperatively with local 4-H volunteers and members to manage the County 4-H Youth Development Program.
Work flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
Minimum Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED; associate degree in relevant field preferred.
2 years of relevant experience required; 4-6 years of relevant experience preferred.
Pay range: $16.65 - $21.77 hourly.
