Our Habitat ReStore plays a critical role in this mission by generating revenue through the sale of donated furniture, appliances, and building materials—directly supporting our affordable housing programs.
Position Summary The ReStore Sales & Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the ReStore with a primary focus on warehouse operations and donation processing, while providing occasional support on the sales floor. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment and ensuring donations move quickly and effectively from intake to sale.
This is a physically demanding position that requires repeated lifting, manual labor, and movement throughout the workday.
Hourly | Non-Exempt | Reports to: ReStore Assistant Manager
Job Pay $17 - $20

Primary Duties and Responsibilities Warehouse & Donation Operations (Primary Focus)
Receive, unload, and process donated items safely and efficiently
Sort, move, and organize donations within the warehouse
Prepare items for sale and ensure timely movement to the sales floor
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Follow all safety protocols when lifting, moving, and storing items
Sales Floor Support (Secondary)
Provide occasional customer assistance on the sales floor
Assist with stocking, basic merchandising, and inventory flow
Operate the POS system as needed
Team & Mission Support
Collaborate with ReStore staff and volunteers to support daily operations
Communicate Habitat for Humanity’s mission to donors and customers
Support ReStore events and affiliate-wide initiatives as needed
Critical Performance Outcomes (CPOs)
A consistently organized, safe, and efficient warehouse
Timely processing of donations to support sales and inventory flow
Safe handling of materials and adherence to cleanliness standards
Positive, professional interactions with customers, donors, and volunteers
Required Skills & Experience
Ability to perform repeated lifting and manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Clear communication and basic customer service skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Preferred Experience
Experience in warehouse, retail, or customer service settings
Familiarity with donated goods, furniture, or building materials
Alignment with Habitat for Humanity’s mission
Physical Demands & Working Environment This role requires frequent lifting up to 50lbs, carrying, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing throughout the day. Work takes place primarily in the warehouse with some sales floor and outdoor activity. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
