Job Overview Beaudin Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to support ground-up multifamily construction projects in Bend, Oregon. This role is the communication and documentation hub for our construction teams, design partners, and subcontractors. The Project Engineer will handle RFIs, submittals, schedules, quality control support, and subcontractor coordination to ensure seamless project execution aligned with plans, budgets, and timelines.
This is a critical support position that ensures every aspect of the project moves forward efficiently—eliminating bottlenecks and improving construction outcomes from start to finish.

Manage all project documents (drawings, RFIs, ASIs, submittals, specs, reports)
Maintain version control and ensure field teams have the most updated documentation
Track all correspondence and update project logs using Procore, Bluebeam, or equivalent
Prepare, log, route, and track submittals for review and approval
Draft and track RFIs, coordinate responses with design team, and ensure implementation in the field
Schedule & Cost Support
Assist Project Manager with milestone tracking, lookahead schedules, and progress monitoring
Help maintain change order, procurement, and cost logs
Support subcontractor scope reviews and cost backup documentation
Subcontractor Coordination
Serve as a primary contact for subcontractors on technical coordination
Track compliance documents (insurance, bonds, safety forms)
Assist with vendor onboarding and coordination
Field & Quality Support
Conduct field walks to confirm installation accuracy and assist with layout questions
Track punch lists, mockups, inspection readiness, and non-conformance reports
Coordinate third-party inspections and testing
Safety & Permitting
Support project safety plan enforcement and documentation
Participate in toolbox talks, audits, and safety reporting
Assist with permits and inspections (especially City of Portland or Oregon State agencies)
Project Closeout
Help compile closeout documentation (O&Ms, warranties, as-builts)
Track final punch list and ensure successful handoff to ownership
Qualifications 2+ years of experience in construction project engineering, preferably in multifamily or commercial construction
Strong proficiency in construction document control, RFI/submittal processes, and Procore or similar software
Excellent communication, technical writing, and coordination skills
Ability to read plans/specs and identify design conflicts proactively
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam; MS Project familiarity a plus
Able to walk active jobsites, climb ladders/stairs, and lift 25–50 lbs occasionally
