Overview Central Florida Behavioral Hospital is a 174‑bed private psychiatric center located in Orlando, FL. The hospital provides 24‑hour emergency services. The hospital offers a full continuum of care including inpatient treatment services for children, adolescents and adults; partial hospitalization, intensive out‑patient and ECT services for adults. Our treatment philosophy is based on a team approach that treats patients with dignity and respect, while delivering high‑quality care.

Must be available to attend the full hospital and departmental orientations: Week 1: M‑F 8 AM ‑ 5 PM. Preference to individuals available to work weekend shifts.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct therapeutic services for Partial Hospital/Intensive Out‑Patient Program patients and telehealth counseling.

Provide group counseling sessions.

Conduct assessments of newly admitted patients.

Develop an updated or detailed re‑assessment of the patient.

Provide support and advocacy; liaison with community‑based social and mental‑health agencies regarding pre‑admission status and coordinate treatment planning and subsequent interventions.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling or related field.

Current license from the State of Florida (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LMHC).

At least one year of direct clinical experience with family, individual and group therapy with patients with psychiatric diagnoses; specialized training in specific issues or modalities (e.g., abuse‑reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy, relaxation therapy) is preferred.
