Job Description
Atlantic Radiology Associates is a large, physician-owned private radiology practice providing diagnostic imaging services across multiple hospitals and outpatient imaging centers. We are seeking an experienced Radiology IT Systems Specialist to support and maintain the clinical IT systems that radiologists rely on for high-volume, time-sensitive diagnostic interpretation.
This role sits between frontline IT support and senior IT leadership. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting PACS environments, radiology workstations, and voice recognition software, along with a strong working knowledge of networking fundamentals. Key Responsibilities
Deploy, configure, and maintain radiology diagnostic workstations, including hardware, operating systems, monitors, peripherals, and clinical software
Provide advanced support for PACS and voice recognition systems, including performance troubleshooting and workflow optimization
Troubleshoot workstation, application, and connectivity issues that directly impact radiologist productivity and turnaround times
Assist with network-related troubleshooting, including VPN access, latency issues, routing problems, and coordination with managed IT vendors
Serve as a primary technical resource for radiologists and imaging center staff, with a strong emphasis on responsiveness and customer service
Participate in system upgrades, migrations, testing, and validation—particularly during PACS transitions
Maintain clear documentation of workstation builds, configurations, and support procedures
Identify recurring issues and recommend practical improvements to system reliability and performance
Escalate complex infrastructure issues appropriately while maintaining ownership and accountability
Clinical Systems & Technologies
PACS platforms, including Change Healthcare and Fujifilm Synapse
Voice recognition systems, including PowerScribe One
Planned evaluation and integration of AI-enabled radiology workflow tools such as Rad AI
Windows-based diagnostic workstations, secure clinical networks, VPNs, and high-performance imaging displays
Qualifications Required
4+ years of progressive IT experience, including direct responsibility for workstation and application support
Demonstrated experience supporting

Strong understanding of Windows OS, workstation hardware, and performance troubleshooting
Working knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, latency, remote access)
