Job Title Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist

Position Summary A Behavioral Health Licensed Therapist with strong leadership abilities, communication, and problem‑solving skills who, with minimal supervision, collaborates with all members of the treatment team in the assessment of patient needs related to discharge planning and coordinates interventions to meet those needs in a cost‑effective manner. Collaborates with Utilization Review to ensure funding requirements are met and legal process requirements for patients on involuntary status. Facilitates individual, family, and daily group therapy for assigned unit(s) and completes comprehensive psychosocial assessments. Supports an organizational culture of Service Excellence and applies the Service Excellence Standards to all customer groups.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate leadership in departmental services through collaborative processes that integrate services across the system.

Assess or coordinate the assessment of patient healthcare and education needs and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team to meet those needs.

Orchestrate patient hospital processes for seamless and efficient care.

Allocate human and material resources effectively to meet patient care needs.

Comply with annual education requirements and safety and injury prevention standards to minimize risk to self and co‑workers.

Qualifications

Licensed Therapist Credential (LPC, LPC‑Associate, LCSW, LMSW, LMFT) currently licensed in Texas with a Master’s Degree in Mental or Behavioral Health.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire or within 30 days, maintained throughout employment.

Physical ability to read/write/speak English, respond to pages, work under stress, and perform job‑related tasks such as lifting (minimum 25 pounds), bending, squatting, and stooping.

Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
