The Sales Business Development Center (BDC) Representative is responsible for generating and qualifying sales opportunities through inbound and outbound communications. This role serves as the first point of contact for potential customers, building rapport, identifying needs, and setting qualified appointments for the sales team. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, customer-focused, and driven by results.
Key Responsibilities
Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, texts, and online inquiries in a timely and professional manner
Respond to leads generated from digital marketing, phone calls, walk-ins, and third-party sources
Qualify prospects by understanding customer needs, budget, timeline, and interest level
Schedule and confirm appointments for the sales team
Maintain accurate and detailed records of customer interactions in the CRM
Follow up consistently with prospects to nurture leads and re-engage inactive customers
Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly performance goals (calls, appointments, show rates, conversions)
Work closely with sales managers and representatives to ensure a smooth handoff of qualified leads
Stay knowledgeable about company products, services, promotions, and pricing
Provide exceptional customer service and represent the brand professionally at all times
Qualifications & Skills
Previous experience in sales, call center, customer service, or BDC role preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Confident phone presence with the ability to build rapport quickly
Excellent listening and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working with CRM systems and basic computer applications
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Self‑motivated, goal‑oriented, and coachable
Professional attitude with a strong work ethic
