This permanent part‑time role requires scanning product barcodes in designated stores each week to collect data for retail sales performance analysis.
Overview Retail Scan Associates visit a selection of local retailers—grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores—each week for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Work is performed via a mobile app that scans barcodes throughout the store.
Responsibilities
Complete full store display scanning each week, typically lasting 2‑3 hours per store.
Provide quantity information for approximately 45% of scanned products.
Meet weekly deadlines and report to assigned store location within the specified deadline.
Perform custom project work (quick additional scans of specific products) as requested by clients, adding 30 minutes to 2 hours for those weeks.
Maintain data accuracy and quality while working independently.
Qualifications
Minimum age 18 with a valid driver’s license.
Reliable vehicle with state auto insurance coverage.
Ability to stay on feet for long periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and reach up to 6 feet.
Capacity for repetitive hand, wrist, arm, and leg movements over extended periods.
Strong attention to detail and self‑starter mindset.
Deadline‑driven and capable of working independently.
Reliable Wi‑Fi access and tech savvy.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
