ScanScape is hiring a permanent part‑time Retail Scan Associate to visit selected retail stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The data collected is analyzed to improve sales performance.
This role involves continuous physical activity, walking and standing for long periods, and the use of a mobile app to scan barcodes.
Day in the Life Each week you will scan displays throughout the store (1–3 hours, depending on store size). You may also complete custom projects that add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work. It is essential to meet weekly deadlines and work independently.
Responsibilities
Visit assigned grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise stores each week for 52 weeks a year.
Scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations using a mobile app.
Provide quantity estimates for approximately 45% of scanned products.
Complete display scanning and any requested custom projects within specified deadlines.
Qualifications
At least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.
Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and reach up to 6 feet.
Capacity for repetitive motions with hands, wrists, arms, and legs.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Deadline‑driven self‑starter.
Access to reliable Wi‑Fi and basic tech skills.
High school diploma or GED (preferred).
