Responsibilities
Provide bedside care to patients including personal hygiene maintenance
Record patients’ vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate)
Collect patients’ health information
Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians
Give oral medications and injections to patients
Test patients’ blood sugar levels
Urinary catheter insertion and care
Assist patients with personal hygiene
Monitor for changes in patients
Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patient’s medical records
Ask questions when in doubt for clarification by the Registered Nurse
Act as a role model for ancillary personnel
Maintain confidentiality of patients’ clinical records
Exceptional staff training and customer service skills
Compassionate and friendly demeanor
Qualifications
Current LPN license in the state
