We are seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible General Surgeon licensed in Missouri for a 90‑day locum tenens assignment. This opportunity begins on Mar 23, 2026, and features 24‑hour call shifts from 8 am to 8 am, with weekend and possible occasional weekday coverage. The surgeon will provide a broad range of adult, pediatric, and trauma procedures in a trauma facility utilizing the Epic EMR system.

Provider Type Needed: General Surgeon

Schedule: 8 am–8 am call shifts; weekends without coverage and possible occasional weekday shifts

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform general surgery for adult, pediatric, neonate, and trauma patients

Conduct laparoscopic procedures including appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, and Nissen fundoplication

Provide head and neck surgery, chest wall and pleural procedures, and breast surgery

Manage obstetric and gynecologic surgery as required

Conduct liver surgery and gastrointestinal endoscopy

Handle minor orthopedic and hand surgery cases

Manage ventilation, chest tube insertion, and central line insertion

Place PA catheters and perform vascular surgery

Provide plastic and pediatric surgery procedures

Additional Information

Missouri medical license required

Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required

Experience with Epic EMR preferred
