The Department of Biology at Rutgers‑Camden seeks part‑time lecturers for the Fall 2025, Winter 2026, Spring 2026, and/or Summer 2026 semesters to teach biology courses. Instructors will present course material during the assigned times, hold office hours, administer exams, assign grades, and coordinate any other requirements related to course instruction. Lab safety, biosafety, and bloodborne pathogens (PPB) training is required for all instructors hired to teach biology laboratory courses.
Qualifications
Masters degree in a relevant biological discipline.
Responsibilities
Present course material and lead class discussions.
Hold office hours for student consultation.
Administer examinations, assign grades, and maintain student records.
Coordinate course logistics and instructional materials.
Complete required lab safety/biosafety/bloodborne pathogens training.

Immunization Requirements Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Additional infection control and safety policies may apply.
