The Utility Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance on equipment used in manufacturing processes to ensure the successful execution of production activities while upholding high industry standards and adhering to manufacturing timescales.

Utility Technician
Reports to: Equipment/Utility Manager
Location: Dalton, GA
Responsibilities
Ensure cleanliness of machines and components using hoses, airguns, IPA, cloths, vacuum, and other accessories. Disassemble machines and remove parts for replacement or repair using chains of fall, hand tools, and jacks. Inspect and repair damaged machine parts, identifying failures and recommending repairs to supervisors. Replace or realign machine parts and accessories to match production specifications. Apply adhesives, lubricants, or other materials to machines or parts in accordance with procedures. Reassemble machines after maintenance or repair work. Remove hardened material from machines or parts using power tools, hand tools, jacks, sledgehammers, abrasives, and other equipment. Adhere to Hanwha Q CELLS policies and procedures. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management. Possess general knowledge of electrical components and motor control. Possess general knowledge of HVAC and VRV systems.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience handling machines and machine parts. Minimum of 1 year of knowledge in mechanical maintenance and electrical processes. Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctions. Discipline to execute tasks without procrastination. Excellent time‑management skills and ability to complete orders in a timely manner. Basic tool handling ability. Learn to operate the BMS System, Dock Door/Leveler Maintenance, Dust Collector Maintenance, Exhaust Fan maintenance, Humidifiers, and Highspeed Doors. Strong knowledge of safety precautions. Ability to illustrate general maintenance requisites and procedures for operation on various pumps including reciprocating, centrifugal, vane, and others. Ability to tolerate a fast‑paced work environment in areas that are not climate‑controlled. Assertive, able to cope with pressure, and a team player.
