This full-time role is essential to delivering an exceptional patient experience while supporting treatment acceptance, financial coordination, and collections in a fast-paced dental practice. Schedule: Full-Time Days: Monday-Friday Office Hours: 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Pay Range: $18-$24 per hour (DOE) Software: Open Dental About the Role
The Treatment Coordinator plays a critical role in practice performance by partnering closely with doctors and front office team members to ensure patients understand their treatment options and financial responsibilities. This position requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of dental procedures and insurance benefits, and confidence in discussing treatment and payment options with patients. Key Responsibilities
Present and coordinate treatment plans with clarity and empathy Educate patients on recommended care, insurance benefits, and out-of-pocket costs Collect patient portions at or prior to the time of service Manage and explain financing options, including CareCredit and Sunbit Actively follow up on unscheduled treatment using Open Dental workflows Actively work on collecting accounts receivable (A/R) from both patients and insurance companies Support claims, insurance verification, and financial coordination processes Collaborate with providers and front office staff to improve case acceptance and collections Qualifications
Dental treatment coordination experience preferred (2+ years ideal, but not required) Claims and insurance background required Hands-on experience with Open Dental preferred Strong communication, organizational, and follow-up skills Ability to confidently discuss treatment plans and financial arrangements Bilingual skills are a plus (not required) Ideal Candidate
