The E-commerce & Fulfillment Supervisor oversees daily e-commerce operations and provides direct supervision of the shipping department to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient order fulfillment. This role focuses on hands‑on management of e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces while also leading shipping operations. The position requires strong computer skills, effective people management, and the ability to analyze data and workflows, coordinate logistics, work with vendors, and balance multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Job Responsibilities E-commerce Platform Management & Analytics
Manage and update company e-commerce platforms and third‑party marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, Home Depot, and similar portals), including product listings, pricing, inventory availability, content, and order status
Ensure product data, images, descriptions, and platform‑specific requirements are accurate and compliant across all channels
Monitor daily order flow across all e‑commerce systems and marketplaces to ensure timely processing and fulfillment
Analyze e‑commerce and fulfillment system analytics, including order volume, fulfillment timelines, inventory accuracy, error rates, and sales trends
Generate reports to track performance, identify issues, and support data‑driven decision‑making
Maintain strong attention to detail while managing multiple e‑commerce systems and competing priorities
Supervise and coordinate day‑to‑day shipping department operations to ensure orders are packed, shipped, and invoiced accurately and on time
Provide day‑to‑day guidance, direction, and support to shipping staff to maintain a professional and productive work environment
Oversee the full fulfillment process, including picking, packing, shipping, and end‑of‑day invoice reconciliation
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards within the shipping department
Troubleshoot shipping delays, order discrepancies, and fulfillment issues in collaboration with Customer Service
Vendor, Process & Cross‑Functional Support
Coordinate with shipping carriers, logistics partners, and e‑commerce service providers
Support vendor management and contract negotiations, including reviewing service levels, costs, and performance
Monitor shipping costs and carrier performance; recommend operational or cost‑saving improvements
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Production, and other departments to support seamless order fulfillment
Maintain flexibility to assist other departments as needed, recognizing this is a blended, operations‑focused role
May occasionally travel to trade shows
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications Required:
3+ years of experience in e‑commerce operations, fulfillment, logistics, or shipping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, e‑commerce platforms, online marketplaces, and ERP or inventory management systems
Demonstrated management skills, including the ability to lead teams, set expectations, and maintain accountability
Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
Experience analyzing data and system analytics to drive process improvements and operational efficiency
Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
Professional communication skills and a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach
Ability to lift, move, and handle products in a shipping or fulfillment environment as needed
Preferred:
Hands‑on experience managing e‑commerce platforms, online marketplaces, or similar digital sales channels
Familiarity with shipping platforms and carrier systems
Experience supporting vendor relationships or contract discussions
Background in manufacturing
Prior experience managing or supervising a team
Compensation & Schedule
Standard hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST, Monday through Friday
Salaried, exempt position
Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications
Compensation includes base salary, health benefits, and 401(k) plan with company match
