R6904**Everything we do is underscored by a why — and that why is one another.****Location:**Altru Hospital1200 South Columbia RoadGrand Forks, ND 58201Pay Range: $15.50 - $23.22**Summary:**The Respiratory Care Specialist EMT assists and supports the Respiratory Therapy team. Serves patients who have trouble breathing, and those who have asthma or other pulmonary ailments. Tasks include providing oxygen and therapies to patients within the hospital setting. Must have strong communication skills and desire to help others.**Essential Job Functions:*** Assesses, plans, and implements treatments for acute respiratory disorders.* Administering treatments such as oxygen therapy, walking desaturation tests, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and assist the Respiratory Therapy team as needed.* O2 rounds, disassembles, and cleans Respiratory equipment and performs preventative maintenance according to standard operating procedure.* Recognizing those patients that may require additional respiratory support at home prior to discharge.
