POSITION SUMMARY : Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, perform patient examinations and related activities. Perform patient exams in accordance with established protocols. Assist the clinicians during a procedure. Circulate in/out of room during cases getting supplies/equipment as needed. Perform hemodynamic monitor activities. Maintain patient records as required. Assure that the patient’s clinical history is complete. Complete associated paperwork and accession procedures. Perform QA/QC procedures for the imaging equipment PACS and prepare necessary documentation. Archive and complete patient examinations. Start IVs and/or administer contrast media. Remove arterial and or venous sheaths. Maintain and adhere to accepted sterile techniques and provide a clean environment within the examination area. Knowledge base in the care of adult and geriatric patients. Transport patients as needed, Order supplies when required. Arrange for equipment maintenance when required. Assist in training student technologists when required. Demonstrate knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with patients, families, visitors, and vendors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Accept other responsibilities as delegated by the Director of Nursing to assure optimum patient care. QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an approved AMA school of radiologic technology required. Work Experience: One or two years in special imaging modalities preferred. Certification/Licensure: Basic Life Support and Registered ARRT/Licensed by MS Department of Health. WORK SCHEDULE
