Responsibilities
Under direct supervision the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the Bulk Deli.
The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk position consists of two shifts. The morning shift begins the day by replenishing product, as instructed by the Bulk Deli Manager or Assistant Bulk Deli Manager, in a specifically assigned area.
Assist customers throughout the shift and maintain cleanliness of the department.
Qualifications
Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and coworkers.
Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
Write simple correspondence.
Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.
Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
Basic PC/Outlook skills.
Retail Management Certificate (extra awesome).
Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
