The operator will use a sewing machine to join, reinforce, or perform related sewing operations in the manufacture of fabric into covers for upholstered furniture. Sew pre-cut fabric pieces per the quality specifications and Standard Operating Procedures for the assigned position, at a pace sufficient to achieve stated production efficiency requirements. Operate safely and adhere to the company’s Personal Protective Equipment standards throughout the facility. Adhere to Williams-Sonoma policies with a positive attitude, professional courtesy, and integrity; assist others in the department, facility, and organization. Handle sew-kit bundles weighing approximately 25–50 pounds from designated delivery basket or area. Adhere to established sewing standards (e.g., ½ inch seams), keep seams straight and aligned with the cover pattern, and ensure no drop stitches; verify tabs are sewn correctly per SOPs. Ensure corners are sewn at 90-degree angles and place finished covers back into the bundle for inspection and further processing. Meet or exceed the required productivity target (90% efficiency) for the operation. Qualifications

At least 1 year of sewing experience in production of upper-end upholstered furniture. Onsite and in-office role. Ability to pay attention to detail, work with hands, read and understand simple sewing instructions, and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet productivity requirements. Good communication skills (oral and written) and ability to read, write, and understand English. Demonstrate ability to keep accurate records and follow documented procedures and standards. Excellent time-management skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preferred: 3 years of sewing experience in an upper-end upholstery manufacturing environment. Preferred: Bilingual (English and Spanish). Physical and Other Requirements

Ability to frequently lift bags weighing 25–60 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for long periods and bend or twist as required to sew covers. Ability to bend and twist to obtain and bundle kits. Benefits
