has an outstanding opportunity for a
Foreman
at our large heavy civil project in
North Texas area . The Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating workers on a medium size (8 to 10) dirt work crew. The goals of this position include scheduling work to meet timetables in a safe manner and to meet estimated costs. This person must maintain a good working relationship with inspectors, developers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Responsibilities
Manage a small amount of onsite fleet equipment
Recruit hourly trade personnel
Execute “Look Ahead” schedules
Manage craftsmen and laborers, equipment and materials
Logistics planning
Scheduling construction daily and weekly
Execute project work plans
Manage crews productively and effectively
Training of others on the crew
Purchasing of materials, tools, and supplies
Maintain a safe working environment
Perform quality work to meet requirements
Qualifications
3+ years of experience managing dirt crews on heavy civil construction projects
Must have a strong commitment to jobsite safety and be diligent in demonstrating safe work practices
Experience in supervising crew
Experience using HCSS Heavy Job (tablet based)
OSHA 10 hr, First Aid/CPR, rigging, flagging, fall protection, trench excavation, and manlift
Must be highly organized with an attention to detail
Be an effective communicator
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and meet deadline
Requirements
High School Diploma/GED or higher
Valid driver’s license
Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures
Must be able to work on call as needed
