Position Overview
Davey Utility Line Clearance is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson. The role requires a CDL holder and/or climbing experience and will serve the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Lima starting January 2026.
Job Duties
Lead a 2–5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services for major electric utility providers.
Prune treetops, repair damaged trees by trimming or removal, and remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
Perform job‑site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks.
Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
Mentor and train new employees.
Qualifications
Love of the outdoors.
Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
Valid driver’s license required.
Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain.
Line clearance experience or other related tree work required.
Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates preferred if required by state law.
ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional preferred.
Additional Information Full‑time hourly position. Compensation based on qualifications and experience.
