Responsibilities The Vines Hospital is currently recruiting for a FT RN to join our Admissions Department and perform all aspects of the intake and admission process, including efficient handling of inquiry calls, communication with referral sources, providing hospital and program information, making referrals, assessing and triaging mental health status, making patient safety and level of care recommendations, identifying insurance benefits and pre‑certification, completing admission requirements, communicating concerns and pertinent information to unit nursing staff, and documenting all necessary information in Med Series 4. The RN will review packets, accept and admit patients, work with minimal supervision, and coordinate with all facility units: business office, medical staff, medical records, utilization review, marketing, and nursing.

Shift:

7:00 pm–7:30 am

This position also qualifies for a $5,000 retention bonus.

The Admissions department is an exciting atmosphere where we help patients make decisions to seek help. With one in five adults suffering from a mental illness, the Admissions RN must adapt and flow to the ever‑changing needs of our patients.

Location The Vines Hospital is located in Ocala, Marion County, FL. The county is known as the Horse Capital of the World and offers scenic parks, hiking trails, river rafting, tubing, horseback riding, and proximity to major metropolitan areas and beaches.

Qualifications Education: Associate degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.

Experience: Minimum of two years in mental health preferred; previous assessment experience required.

License: Licensed in Florida as a Registered Nurse required.

Skills: Excellent communication skills; ability to relate to those emotionally disturbed and in crisis.
