Senior Grid & Market Settlements Analyst
**Department:** Grid & Market Operations Performance & Analytics Processes market settlements and supports analytics development for operational strategies to optimize PGE's energy portfolio and grid operations for strategic projects, including integration and optimization of energy supply and delivery assets in EIM and EDAM. Supports Real Time and Grid Operations by maintaining training that ensures management and staff training needs are identified, fulfilled, and documented as related to market settlement activities. P4 Specialist Professional Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree in IT, finance, business, economics, engineering, or other science field. Typically eight or more years in the energy industry or a related field. Experience in operational analytics preferred. Key Responsibilities:
Settlement Management:
Support the development and implementation of settlement processes, including charge code configuration and validation of settlement calculations for EIM and EDAM. Risk Mitigation:
Identify, assess, and address risks related to metering and settlement processes, and implement controls and corrective actions. Stakeholder Coordination:
Serve as a point of contact for metering and settlement-related queries, working with internal teams, CAISO, and other market participants. Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure documentation and compliance with CAISO's regulatory framework, maintaining records of processes, changes, and validations. Metering Oversight:
Support configuration and validation of metering systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with EDAM requirements. Market Research:
Research market design and grid operations, analyze trends, and report recommendations for product and strategy changes. Grid Operations:
Provide operational analyses, identify process improvements, and develop operational solutions related to market opportunities. Subject Matter Expert:
Lead cross-functional teams, develop data strategies, and provide training on project evaluations and trading strategies. Analytic Tools:
Design and develop analytic tools for evaluating energy and transmission opportunities, maintaining databases, and training colleagues. Communications and Presentations:
Develop reports and presentations, and conduct seminars and strategy meetings. External Relations:
Participate in forums, lead meetings with utilities and agencies, and represent PGE in regulatory proceedings. Physical and Cognitive Demands:
Requires logic, scientific thinking, adherence to deadlines, effective communication, stress management, adaptability, and teamwork skills. Schedule/Attendance:
Must adhere to work schedules, including working long hours, variable schedules, and during severe weather conditions. Compensation Range:
