divh2Hardware Engineering Lead/h2pBAE Systems, Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS) Product Line within the Precision Strike (PS) Business Area has an immediate opening for an experienced Hardware Engineering Lead to lead the production support team for our THAAD Missile Seeker program. In this position, the Hardware Engineering Lead will be responsible for all aspects of the Hardware Engineering life cycle as we move to support our customer communitys requirements for system upgrades to the existing THAAD Missile Seeker. The HW Lead role will also require interface to BAE Subcontracts, other Engineering disciplines, and suppliers for the system to maintain production rate. The Hardware Engineering Lead (HWL) holds responsibility for coordinating the efforts of the hardware Engineering discipline on a given project. HWLs are responsible for all Hardware Engineering project content and for ensuring the technical, design integrity, cost, and schedule baselines are achievable throughout the project execution. HWLs engage and interface with the other Engineering disciplines and functions as necessary (Systems, SW, PEM Operations, Quality, Project Management) to ensure hardware is manufactured, assembled, tested and delivered in accordance with given project requirements. HWL for a production support program will also support with his team, interfaces with the program supply base and interactions with DCMA to support program deliveries./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliDevelops HW staffing plans. Coordinates with PEM and BA Section Lead to request and implement staffing requirements./liliDefines team tasking and allocates resources accordingly./liliProvides guidance and mentorship for project team members to ensure execution needs are met./liliProvides performance feedback of project team members to the Section Leads./liliDevelops corrective actions and conducts root cause analysis as required to ensure successful execution of the HW activities./liliKnows the Hardware Engineering process and ensures the Hardware Engineering team implements it throughout the project. Communicates improvements to the process to the HW Process Lead./liliDocument postmortems (including lessons learned); reports to Section Leads and PEMs./liliEngages in the KnowableTM Community to share knowledge./liliInterfaces with the projects Design Drafting Team Lead in drawing updates and new releases to support production./liliAt the start of each project and or contract, reviews relevant lessons learned that may benefit activities performed during that phase./liliIdentifies and executes to an appropriate Hardware Engineering staffing plan for the project./liliIdentifies HW technical risks and opportunities to the Chief Engineer (CE) and supports the management of risks and opportunities - executes mitigation strategies, updates risk register and reports on realized risks./liliCollaborates with the Systems Lead to ensure appropriate allocation of requirements to HW subsystems/Configuration Items (CIs)./liliActively manages scope - understands what is and is not within the budget and does not take on additional scope without assessing the cost and schedule impact and securing an agreement on an acceptable path forward with the Chief Engineer (CE), PEM and Project Manager (PM)./liliSupervises the technical work of assigned engineers. Holds engineers accountable for their work./liliEnsure Hardware Engineering deliverables are made in accordance with the Statement of Requirements (SOR)./liliSupports the customer and DCMA through the Chief Engineer (CE), PEM and PM as requested./liliDefend the integrity of the design. FRB investigations as requested by FRB Lead - agreement that FRB lead can directly assign tasks to EEs with HW lead cognizance/li/ulpRequired Education, Experience, Skills:/pulliExperience throughout the entire Hardware engineering life cycle/liliExperience with customer and subcontractor interfacing/liliBachelors degree in an Engineering field/liliA Secret Clearance is required for this position or the ability to get one/li/ulpPreferred Education, Experience, Skills:/pulliAbility to Identify potential risk areas, develop plans / recommendations for risk mitigation/liliAbility to communicate effectively with peers, senior leadership, and other functional disciplines such as Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, along with Project Management Officers/liliExperience with parts management activities and overall material process/liliExperiences with 8D, Root Cause Corrective Action/liliAn active Secret Clearance/li/ulpPay Information:/ppFull-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
