Tax Associate (Real Estate/REITs) — Wash, DC
Our AmLaw 100 client is building out its DC tax bench for real estate and REIT work. The platform handles complex, high-value assets and cross-border structures, with national recognition across Real Estate and Tax by leading directories.
Role Summary
Advise on REIT structuring, acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, capital markets and financing matters tied to real estate assets
Draft and negotiate tax provisions in transaction documents
Partner with Real Estate, Funds, Capital Markets and Corporate teams across offices on tax-driven deal architecture and execution
Candidate Profile
Law school class years 2019–2022
Solid tax foundation with hands‑on exposure to real estate, including REITs
Excellent research, writing and analytical skills; creative problem‑solver who can navigate novel issues
DC location required
