Kansas Feeds LLC is a leading liquid feed company for the beef and dairy cattle industries. We seek an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and ensure compliance with GAAP accounting standards. This role demands expertise in balance sheet management, inventory oversight, and cross‑departmental collaboration to support operational efficiency and financial accuracy. Salary Range

$85,000 - $100,000 Annually Benefits

8 - 10 per day Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Build and maintain detailed balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in alignment with month‑end closing schedules. Manage fixed asset lifecycle, including additions, disposals, and depreciation calculations, while maintaining comprehensive records. Ensure general ledger transactions adhere to department / class / coding requirements and GAAP standards. Reconcile intercompany transactions across entities to resolve discrepancies and maintain consolidated financial integrity. Inventory & Operational Support

Assist with monthly inventory processes, including cycle counts, variance analysis, and reconciling physical inventory to system records. Assist with resolution of any 3‑way match issues / discrepancies. Collaborate with procurement teams to oversee purchase orders for commodity acquisitions and validate cost allocations. Audits & Process Improvement

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows, particularly in inventory tracking and procurement. Perform ad‑hoc accounting duties, including financial analysis, and audit support. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Experience: 3–5+ years in manufacturing accounting, with exposure to cost accounting, inventory management, and fixed asset tracking. Public accounting experience preferred. Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, etc. preferred). Proficiency in advanced Excel functions. Familiarity with inventory management software. Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies. Communication Skills: Collaborate cross‑functionally with procurement, operations, IT, and logistics teams. Detail‑oriented with a commitment to meeting tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of agricultural or feed manufacturing industries preferred. Experience with commodity procurement practices preferred.
