Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems, including twisted pair cable, fiber optic, coax, and other low voltage cables.
Build and manage cable pathways and telecom closets to ensure efficient system operations.
Diagnose and resolve issues with low voltage systems, conducting regular inspections to prevent downtime.
Collaborate with Project Managers, customers, and team members to ensure successful project completion.
Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and updates to technical documentation, including wiring diagrams and as‑builts.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide clear explanations of systems.
Adhere to industry codes, standards, and regulations, staying informed on trends and advancements.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Low Voltage Technician or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of low voltage systems, protocols, and equipment.
Familiarity with industry codes and standards.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical fitness and agility for installation and maintenance tasks.
Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Proficient computer skills.
Willingness to travel extensively, with overnight stays required.
High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., BICSI, NICET) are a plus.
